Do Toyota Certified Used Cars Have A Warranty?

The answer is yes, and a pretty darn good one. But first lets talk about what it takes to be a Toyota Certified Used Vehicle. The vehicle has to be less than 6 years old, have less than 85,000 miles, pass a CARFAX history report review, and pass a 160 point inspection on site to qualify. If a vehicle passes all that criteria it is certified and has the following benefits.

What You Get.

1.  A 7 year/100k mile Powertrain Warranty. This is valid at over 1400 dealerships in the U.S. and Canada. It’s transferable at no cost which adds to the resale of the vehicle. It covers your engine components, manual or automatic transmission, axle assembly components, and hybrid components in hybrid vehicles.

2.  A 1 year/12k mile comprehensive warranty. This covers all non engine/drivetrain components. Such as interior technology pieces, nobs, screens, buttons, etc. that are manufacturer or dealer originally installed equipment.

3.  A 1 year 24hr a day roadside assistance program which includes free towing to the closest participating Toyota dealer, or a dealer of your choice if within 25 miles.

This is all done to increase piece of mind in your purchase. Giving the vehicle owner 1 full year of almost unlimited coverage, and eliminating the chance of “buying a lemon”.
